Let’s GO! Truffle Bay gives shape to Munich's new mobility app

15 April 2021 marks the launch of the launch campaign for Munich’s public transport company MVG’s new mobility app MVGO. The Munich brand consultancy and design agency Truffle Bay was able to convince in a pitch and sets an attention-grabbing sign for modern urban mobility with the naming, brand design as well as the conception and execution of the campaign. The Munich-based agency thus continues to position itself as a competent partner for the strategic brand development and creative presentation of mobility apps. 

»Get in. Get on. Get going. All-around mobility with one app. Let’s GO!« Under this claim, MVG has been drawing attention to the possibilities of the new mobility app MVGO with a cross-media campaign kicked off on 15 April 2021. This good news for all people travelling in and around Munich is also a success for Truffle Bay. The Munich brand experts were responsible for the naming and development of the brand design on behalf of MVG, as well as – in collaboration with their Berlin partner agency Im Mai – of the launch campaign for the mobility app.  
»With ›MVGO‹, we created a programmatic name that catchily motivates people to get going – and at the same time establishes a clear connection to MVG,« Truffle Bay Creative Director Sebastian Becker gives insight into the creative concept. »And the round, interlocking logo, which focuses on the name component ›GO‹, symbolizes the unlimited possibilities of an urban mobility concept that seamlessly connects the most diverse means of transport.« The color scheme is based on the blue tones typical of MVG and Stadtwerke München. The turquoise in the GO logo also stands for the »new« forms of mobility, the individual sharing offers.       
The simple departure into a mobility spanning all means of transport is also the message of the launch campaign developed by Truffle Bay. The central motif in each case is a foot that switches from one mode of transport to another in a circular movement – inspired by the MVGO logo. The campaign includes a film as well as various poster motifs and can be seen on city lights at traffic-relevant locations, on posters and displays in buses and trains, and on various social media channels.          
For Truffle Bay, the collaboration with MVG is not only a real home game, but also another opportunity to once again document its special expertise in the field of mobility apps. After all, two years ago the agency was already successfully responsible for the design of the mobility service »Jelbi« for the Berlin public transport company BVG. »We at Truffle Bay are delighted that we have now been able to realize the design and creation of the mobility apps of two of the three largest German cities,« says Managing Partner Sebastian May. »Truffle Bay gets people moving – first in the capital, now in our home town and maybe elsewhere soon.«
MVGO is a free app that bundles the services of MVG and other mobility partners. With just one app, users can conveniently plan all their journeys and combine various means of transport – whether bus or train, e-scooter or e-moped.  Bookings and cashless payments are also possible with the app. The MVGO app is available in the App Store and on Google Play.
